Nik Richie (real name Hooman Karamian), who runs the blog The Dirty, was arrested for DUI in January of 2008, and pleaded guilty yesterday to the DUI charge. Karamian (29), who’s mug shot is pictured above, was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona after a cop spotted him speeding through a construction zone. The officer noted that Karamian was slurring his words, and a Breathalyzer test showed he had twice the legal blood alcohol level. According to the Smoking Gun, Karamian was not very eager to be in the DUI spotlight, although he loves putting others in the spotlight of shame:

When asked to take the breath test, the police report notes, Karamian agreed, noting that “he had a website where he posted DUI results.” The Dirty advises its targets to “Learn to laugh at yourself or DON’T DO STUPID SH!T LOVERS!!!” and warns drunk drivers that their mug shot might be “plastered up in our hall of shame,” which should make them “think twice before getting behind the wheel after drinking. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE, FOLKS.” As an added bonus, “fans of the site can even comment on how big of an idiot you are for drinking and driving.” While being processed by police, Karamian remarked that the cop “did not know the things he did for the community, and that a DUI would not be a good thing for him.” When Karamian later refused to voluntarily provide a blood sample, he was strapped, yelling, into a restraint chair. That blood draw showed his BAC was .165, more than twice Arizona’s .08 limit. Karamian, whose occupation is listed as “website writer” on an arrest report, pleaded guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor drunk driving count during an appearance in Scottsdale City Court. He was ordered to pay about $2000 in fines and court costs, directed to attend an alcohol screening program, and sentenced to four days in jail. But that sentence, which begins Sunday, grants Karamian “work release” from 7 AM to 7 PM during the week (in this case Monday through Wednesday).

Karamian should take away one lesson from all of this. Don’t judge others harshly, because you might just look like a hypocrite later.

Dr. Phil held no punches when he bashed Nik Richiefor his wretched website, TheDirty.com, on an episode that aired today.

Richie, who is married to Shayne Lamas (daughter ofLorenzo Lamas), said he thinks there’s a difference between getting a rise out of someone and hurting them.

Dr. Phil started reading a list of young people who have committed suicide based on negative things that have been posted about them on the Internet.

“It’s not a matter of if but when that’s going to happen based on what’s being posted on TheDirty.com,” Dr. Phil said.

Harsh words for sure, but the good doctor is more than right. The site is just foul.

It’s one thing to write opinions and gossip about celebrities who put themselves out there in the public eye on purpose — who make their livings based on fans.

But TheDirty.com is different because it allows people to go in and post by city and by college anything they want about anyone AND include pictures.

Nik This ugly bitch thinks she is hot sh*t….. she is always after men who are already taken!!!! Clearly her pock marked ass can only get rebound dudes…. so…. would you? cuz way to many guys from Lincoln already have!!!!! The third pic all I can say is… “you wanna out it my butt in my butt??”

Nik This heffer here is named Rachael C*. She is the biggest whore in a hundred mile radius of Lexington, Kentucky. Beginning in high school Rachael has always craved for attention. After flunking out of the community college she was forced to go to Spencerian College where she took her skankness to a whole other level. You may be thinking how could this ugly fat girl get sleep with so many differentpeople??? She is just proof that beer goggles really do exist!

The potential damage that could be done by some of these posts is incredible.

Others submit pictures of people and ask Nik, “Would you?” Presumably it means would he sleep with them, to which he offers a host of nasty answers. For example:

THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, would you? this ugly sloor gets around, she is the most annoying bitch youll ever meet, she is so clingy and she thinks shes the shit. she is a poser wannabe clubber.

Answer: No, her arms droop, shes gunna be a bottle rat and I think she dyes her eyebrows.

They are mean, vicious, and personal (not to mention grammatically atrocious). Anyone with a grudge or a jealous bone can get some pretty well-publicized blows in for the world to read, with NO accountability, no need to identify themselves at all.

The site takes no accountability either. Its disclaimer reads:

Free speech is one thing, but you’ve also got to be able to sleep at night, and I don’t how Nik Richie or the people who post this crap get a moment’s rest.

Have you ever read theDirty.com? Nik Richie is always telling women they aren’t all that. He put up a picture of himself and he is a troll! I wouldn’t let him touch me! What would you say he needs to like make him human? Lipo? Tummy Tuck?

Well nobody “needs” lipo and most men don’t benefit by a tummy tuck. I have posted at thedirty.com before. It is kinda obnoxious.

Nik obviously isn’t a workout type of guy and he lives a pretty cushy life by the looks of things. If he was looking to get into shape a gym and a diet would be a good start. Then we could look to fix whatever was left.
